The reason behind the lack of new posts on this website are the negative feelings inside my head. I’m having a hard time getting things to work out fine and in a satisfactory manner for me and the world around me. I try to dodge confrontation as often as I can, I don’t wanna grow up and take responsability for my own actions, I would very much like to have someone around to take care of me and my financial neglectancy and my nonsense, I’m having trouble giving expression to my emotions and tend to make unexpected absurd tight turns for no reason. In other words, I’m experiencing a lot of difficulty keeping myself standing and/or ignoring the various suicidal thoughts that cross my mind. It even took me a long while to sit down and write this post. But since you all have been such great friends and true followers of my blog, I only found it right to let you all know what is going on with me. Being the beautiful kid I am, I realise things will be okeeeeej eventually and that I will come out of this misery a lot stronger for the future. I’ve been living on that edge for quite a while and since some time ago I slipped of that cliff and started falling. The surprising thing was, I couldn’t care less whether I’d fall and crash or would be able to fly. This feeling of lack of interest in my Haute Self is becoming a problem now, I’m the man next to God but obviously I’m not that big of an expert in controlling over life and death yet. You have to learn to let go to reach enlightment, but what if that means I have to let go of the only person bringing light in this life… Me

Still, Carl from Velocity Nijmegen is hoping we will all come to visit Over De Waal and watch voetbal, in his garden onder het genot van een hapje en drankje aan de Willemsweg 209, Nijmegen, before the race. Okeeeeej, I’ll see if I can come but the least I can do is post it on the Haute! Cause I like this flyer a lot.

Ciao amici, on the last day of the Giro I bring you the results of yesterdays Arnhem Uphill Alleycat Classic. Only 30 riders showed up but what a magnificent showdown it became. After 30 minutes the fastest ones already were busy doing their third manifest!! Jeroen Blom won the race cause he was the only one with an extra strap on his bag so he could carry the largest package from the sixth manifest. Afterwards we ate pizza and then the auction began. Shirts, jerseys, bags, helmets, spokecards and flyers came under the hammer and together we raised over € 1700,- for Artsen zonder Grenzen. This means I have to go and ride the Tour for Life. So, big thanx for all people who came down, thanx for donating, thanx for making things possible, thanx.

Pfoeiiiii, spend the last 8 hours thinking, rethinking and making decisions on which hill to be climbed and what package to be shipped. I guess it’s all in kannen en kruiken now and first manifest is for all competitors. After that only few will go through to round 2 and so on. Finally we’ll have only 5 riders doing the 6th and last manifest. This means they already have climbed 5 hills. For those people that came to the Arnhem Uphill Classic before, you know, this is going to be a killer. Bring out your best of legs, your largest bag, your stamina, a bit of luck and try to lose weight the next 3 days. Start is at 14:00, Cycloon HQ, van Muylwijkstraat 348, Arnhem. And remember, it’s all about helping Tour for Life collecting money for Artsen zonder Grenzen!!

Things are going well. Not personally, I mean. But organising the Arnhem Uphill Alleycat is getting along just fine. Start of the race will be at 14:00. I still need two extra person for checkpoints but I know some will come forward, no sweat (and big thanx in advance). But next thing has come up for later that day. In the evening, 20:00 sharp, I’ll be auctioning (more picas on twitter @hautecourier) a shitload of parafenalia, cyclingcaps, fietskoeriershirts and bikemessengerbags for Artsen zonder Grenzen. All collected money will be for sponsoring the Cycloon team on Tour for Life. Kom and spend yor doekoe!!!

Once a year we come together on the 4th of may on the Koeriersterplein to ride to the Hekelveld, in remembrance and great honour of Annick van Hardeveld. Fietskoeriers der Nederlanden, verenigt u.

The first of May, you get exactly twenty-four hours to ride the same amount of kilometers the profis will do in three stages. If this’ll make us more hardcore than professional roadracing cyclists or if it’ll make us look stupid is for yourself to decide. A fietskoerier is what it is, just a person making deliveries on a bike, no matter race nor media.
